This small group class, which is suitable for children from Junior and senior infants, helps children who are struggling with very early phonics and reading. We know that phonological awareness skills are the basis of all reading, spelling and writing so when a gap in understanding arises it can lead to a blow in confidence and possible difficulties throughout schooling. This class reinforces early phonics, reading and spelling through fun, multi-sensory activities and games, boosting confidence and allowing every child to experience success at their level.
